Feng Wei is a powerful, merciless, and ruthless practitioner of the martial art called "God Fist" Style Chinese Kenpo. He was taught by a renowned master. But Feng’s ambitions exceeded the limits of his dojo, he wanted to become stronger fast. To accelerate his progress, he started fighting with the practitioners of other martial arts, which was strictly against the rules set by his master. Upon learning this, his teacher confronted Feng, but maddened by ambition, Feng killed him and fled in search of the forbidden scrolls that would grant him the power to exceed his limits.

Feng knew that he was the strongest fighter at his former dojo, but he wanted to become the strongest in the world. The scrolls he’s after are in possession of Mishima Zaibatsu, and he enters the King of the Iron Fist Tournament to retrieve them. He’s successful in stealing them, and upon receiving his coveted prize, he starts to train even harder in order to become “Dragon God.”

But his ambition pushed him too far. None of Feng’s Kenpo and Taijiquan skills were enough to best the Wing Chun master Leroy Smith, who simply destroyed him in the tournament. Leroy lamented that Feng was wasting all his immense talent on senseless ambition that distorted his master’s teachings and transformed his techniques into brutal, merciless tools of killing. Wu Zhiao died in vain, and Feng was unworthy to even be mentioned alongside him.

Lost and beside himself from rage, Feng starts to train even harder while traveling the world and challenging the masters of defensive martial arts, intent on proving that even Wing Chun, the ultimate defensive style, won’t be enough to stop him.

Time passes, and Feng receives an unexpected visitor – Nina Williams. She has an offer he can’t refuse: he allies himself with G-Corp to get a chance to face off with Leroy Smith, who has become a thorn in the corporation’s side, once more.

Personality

Feng Wei is as brutal and heartless as they get. He believes in what he sees to be an ultimate truth – only power matters in this world, and his goal is to stand at the top of the food chain, being the strongest of them all. He hones his body to be the temple of this truth, and his fists do the preaching. Despite his merciless attitude, he is able to fully acknowledge when he is defeated, not seeking any excuses as to why this happened, only seeing his own weakness and almost maddening urge to get stronger.

Gameplay

Feng is a fairly defensive character that has quite good poking tools and is able to control the pace of the game and the neutral space quite well. He’s lacking in some punishment options and his sidestep game is not very good, but the sheer versatility of his moveset helps him shrug off any pressure his opponents try to mount.

Fighting Style

Feng’s fighting style was updated from the "God Fist" Style Chinese Kenpo to Taijiquan in Tekken 8. This doesn’t mean that he’s fighting differently now, it’s just a more accurate name for the martial art that uses lots of Tai Chi stances and Hung Gar moves. He’s incredibly flashy, and despite being built like a brick house, very agile and flexible. He’d be a perfect antagonist in any Kung-Fu-based action flick from Hong Kong.
