Upon identifying an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by terrorists in a crowded mall, Robert Sullivan sprang into action, guiding civilians to safety but tragically sacrificing himself.

Motivated by this traumatic event, Luke enlisted in the army, hoping to combat terrorism directly. However, he soon found himself disillusioned with his chosen profession. During one of his training sessions, he was visited by Guile, who Luke's Commanding Officer had requested to address his growing desire to leave the military.

Guile offered Luke a fresh perspective, revealing that others like him had channeled their fight in different arenas. The two shared a toast to Robert Sullivan's memory and Luke's impending journey, prompting Luke to reflect on his aspirations.
