Born as Maximilian in his home country of Jamaica, Dee Jay grew up surrounded by the vibrant and lively culture of the region. He also fell in love with Kickboxing and eventually became a master of the discipline.

Before his widely successful career as a musician, Dee Jay was almost poached by the criminal organization Shadaloo thanks to his fighting prowess, having defeated both Adon and Sagat. But Dee Jay was quick to reject the offer given to him by Bison.

In the following years, until the events of Street Fighter 6, Dee Jay would spend most of his time participating in a handful of World Warrior tournaments or equivalent competitions, as well as out on tour or producing new music.

Now, he sets out to again bring new songs to the people worldwide and maybe fight a few more wrongdoers in the process.

Personality

A huge smile attached to a huge man. Good-natured and wise, Dee Jay looks at life and the world with love and care. He tries to convey his positive vibes through his music, and he is not above using violence to protect others or put troublemakers in their place.

Playstyle

Dee Jay’s control over the rhythm of the fight is not just superficial but part of his gameplay proper; his ability to create various feints gives him one of the best tools to condition opponents, only to then mix them up to deal devastating damage.

Although well into his 60s, Dee Jay does not look a year over 40; the man’s vibes have well and truly kept him in top shape. Dressed in the colors of his home nation, Dee Jay wears loosely fitted sweatpants with a light colorful crop top, black and gold kickboxing gloves, and some remarkably durable flip-flops.
