Although the first open beta test for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves just completed earlier this week, players experienced several issues with the game's early trial.
Now it appears SNK Producer Yasuyuki Oda is pretty much confirming a second Fatal Fury beta is on the way that'll hopefully iron the problems out.
"The last hour I was getting beaten left and right by B. Jenets and Mais crying emoji," wrote Oda on X/Twitter as translated by our own Nicholas 'MajinTenshinhan' Taylor.
"The development team is currently co-operating with each platform's representatives to make adjustments for a second beta test. When we have proper confirmation I will report it!"
Previously, Oda hinted that an additional beta may be in the cards before launch, and it seems he's solidifying those plans a little more now.
He didn't give a window of when to expect the second trial run, but considering the game is set to launch on April 24, they don't have a ton of time left before release.
So we feel it's most likely to arrive sometime in mid-late March or maybe even early April if they really push it to the max.
Matchmaking issues seemed to be the most prevalent problems faced in the first beta with players needing to wait multiple minutes to find anyone and / or get paired up with others a great distance away.
There were also reported issues with server disconnections, inability to find player lobbies and sometimes unstable netcode connections.
The actual gameplay experience itself wasn't complained about much at all from what we've seen, so there's a strong base there if SNK can work out those connection issues (which did seem to get better for many as the first test went on).
