BIOGRAPHY

Sindel was a queen but her reign of happiness was shattered when Shao Kahn took over her land. Horrified that she might lose it all, Sindel betrays and kills her husband, Jerrod and instead swears fealty to Shao Kahn and offers to be his queen. Shao Kahn accepts and in a rare show of mercy, decides to spare Sindel’s daughter, Kitana’s, life. 

 

Sindel is an able queen for Shao Kahn, but she is eventually killed by Quan Chi who then lies to Shao Kahn that Sindel killed herself. In the event of her death, a ward was placed over Earthrealm, making it impossible for Shao Kahn to invade as he had initially planned. 

 

She is resurrected by Quan Chi, enabling Shao Kahn to attack Earthrealm. Shao, very happy to have his queen back, gives her the souls in Shang Tsung, greatly amplifying her power in the process. Sindel, with her powers, fights Earthrealm’s warriors and would have utterly destroyed them but for Night Wolf’s intervention in which he sacrificed himself to destroy her.

 

Sindel returns as a revenant and went to confront Night Wolf from the past. He would win that battle. Sindel is reunited with Shao Kahn and the two look to seize power for themselves by defeating Kronika. They were so close too, defeating Liu Kang and Kitana. But at the final step, they were betrayed by Shang Tsung who then killed them both by absorbing their souls.

Sindel’s life was perfect: A sprawling and successful kingdom, beautiful twin daughters who loved her, a strong and worthy husband who ruled by her side, and relative peace on all sides. But, her  happiness was destroyed when her husband is murdered by an unknown party and everything turns to chaos.

 

In the ensuing madness, enemy factions begin to circle in the hopes of bringing down the once proud queen. But, as with every cornered mother bear, Sindel was not about to give up without a fight. She would do whatever it took to protect what was hers and her childrens’
