At a young age, Jiren was the subject of a Villan's doing. Losing both his parents, he was saved by a noble martial arts teacher. While under his tutelage, Jiren developed into a strong young child. At some point, he, along with other pupils of his master, attempted to stand up to the villain that has caused them all immense grief but was defeated. Jiren was among the few that survived, and most of the survivors moved on to try to build a life elsewhere.

Jiren kept on training, on his own, alone, until one-day Belmod, God of Destruction, noticed the power of the young warrior. He convinced Jiren to join the Pride troopers. Though ever the loner, he agreed to be part of it. Eventually, when the Tournament of Power was called into existence, bring in a fighter from various universes, the Pride Troopers were selected as the representatives of Universe 11.

Gameplay

Pors & Cons

Jiren is mostly seen s a defensive character who waits for the perfect opening to get a lot of damage into his opponents. Aided by a high damage output, counter, and pressure he can quickly dismantle and opponents and turn the fight in his favor. On top of that, his entire kit has a good number of synergies throughout it, giving him tools against most enemies. Nevertheless, he is not without flaws, for one he lacks good neutral offensive tools, making him vulnerable to most universal mechanics. Paired with only a few mix-ups and he can have a hard time opening up opponents.
