BIOGRAPHY

Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7, one of the eighteen universes. As such, he is tasked with maintaining balance across it by destroying entire planets or more. Although not a direct anthesis to the Creation Gods, the Supreme Kais, the two clearly have opposing goals. Beerus, as expected from a deity with such power, is prideful and hotheaded when faced with an actual challenge. Millennia ago, Whis, his Guide Angel Attendant, began training Beerus in the ways of martial arts.
Besides his duties as a God of Destruction, Beerus is, much like his appearance would suggest, a slothful being who very much enjoys to takes long naps, sometimes lasting centuries and often waking up in a bad mood. For many, he is rightfully seen as a malicious entity. He has no remorse for his extensive destruction of planets and races, feeling just indifferent towards it, if not outright annoyed when he has to put any amount of effort.
A pastime of his is to taste and critic the foods of the planets he visits if they are not up to his standards, he more often than not destroys them, and if it's good, he might destroy them as well.
Beerus' Visit to Earth
While on his travels, Beerus has visions of a warrior that would at the very least pose an entertaining fight to him in between his meals. Over time he envisions a Saiyan as the warrior, and after confirming that he was thinking of the Super Saiyan God with the Oracle Fish, he doubles his efforts to find who it might be. This reminds him that the Saiyan's home planet Planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza. He also informed Beerus that some Saiyans had survived and one, in particular, enacted revenge on Frieza, Goku.
Gameplay
Beerus exists as one of the more unique characters in the Dragon Ball Fighter Z roster. His playstyle is heavily dictated by the use of his orbs of destruction, which allow for creative setups and high damage combos, thus becoming the central tool of his kit. At the same time, great Air normals and a meterless reversal provide him with even more offensive tools. Nevertheless, the clever fighter also has a fair few setbacks. His orbs can be destroyed by many attacks, lower quality ground normals mean he is severely hampered in the ground, and his reliance on meter attacks to create his most powerful attacks can put a severe stop to his momentum in a fight.
