Android 18, along with her twin brother Android 17, is the creation of genius scientist Dr. Gero. Before becoming a part of Gero’s vendetta against Goku, she was an ordinary human name Lazuli. Initially, the sibling’s interests lie only in serving their creator and causing as much chaos as possible while trying to kill Goku. Still, later they became allies to the protagonists of the story.

Android 18’s demeanor is cool and collected. She’s seemingly unfazed by anything, but her most prominent personality trait is her sarcastic and cynical sense of humor. She can also be inquisitive, especially when something manages to pique her interest.

The biggest threat to 18’s existence was the Bio-Android named Cell, a perfect creation of Dr. Gero’s supercomputer. He possessed the cells of many distinguished fighters and had the ability to absorb other androids to perfect himself. Both 17 and 18 fell victim to him, but eventually, after a grueling battle, he was defeated, and the siblings restored to their original selves. After the conclusion of the Cell Saga, Android 18 married Krillin, who helped her during the calamitous events. Together they have a daughter named Marron.

Gameplay

Pros & Cons

Android 18’s main strengths lie in the large number of offensive options available to her. Her mixup game is decisively strong, and her pressure can crack even the most stalwart of defenses. Her assists provide her with some reliable defensive options, but she struggles immensely against the characters that can outrange her. She has no decent options of closing the gap in the neutral game. Therefore the fighters with zone control can easily stay out of her range. Still, her ups outweigh her downs, and she’s generally considered to be a strong character.
